Irvine, CA – Ten of Uniglobe Travel USA’s leading agencies have joined together to form a new $200 million company, known as Uniglobe Travel Partners, which will place in the top 50 (top percentile) of US travel management companies.
Even in an age of increasing consolidation within the travel industry, Uniglobe Travel Partners’ set-up stands out as different from other major players. Rather than one large company buying out smaller businesses, Uniglobe Travel Partners is structured so each of the 10 members are joint-owners and equal shareholders.
“The formation of Uniglobe Travel Partners is certainly unique in the industry and once again shows Uniglobe’s commitment to innovation and bringing fresh solutions to the market,” said U. Gary Charlwood, Chairman of Uniglobe Travel USA – represented within Uniglobe Travel Partners as one of the 10 members through its Uniglobe Travel USA Central Processing Unit, which provides hosting services to home-based and non-ARC appointed agencies.
“By forming a partnership among these 10 agencies across the United States, Uniglobe Travel Partners is retaining the entrepreneurial management of each office that has helped make this company so successful,” said Marie Magliano, owner of Uniglobe At Best Travel, located in Mount Arlington, New Jersey, and the President of Uniglobe Travel Partners. “The formation of Uniglobe Travel Partners is a real statement of faith in the Uniglobe brand.”
“The synergistic efforts of our teams and talents will help Uniglobe Travel Partners to perform at the highest level, allowing us to compete with some of the top travel management companies in the United States,” added Magliano.
Uniglobe Travel Partners will continue to offer the same wide range of services they did as individual agencies while boasting a number of new benefits, including shared collective experience and expertise, and the increased ability to effectively service additional national and global accounts.
“Uniglobe Travel Partners will allow us to provide great national service, regularly compete for major corporate clients and extend our leisure business,” said Magliano. “In addition, by having an on-site ownership structure, we can offer our clients and prospects national reach with the local expertise and flexibility that is simply not available with major conglomerates. We will also have the ability to develop benchmarks on a larger scale as well as work together on best practices.”
Uniglobe Travel Partners’ 10 members have 13 offices across the United States, in cities including New York, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Chicago, Portland, Houston, San Francisco, Columbus, Bakersfield, Orange County and Wilmington.
